    Why train with us?

Are you looking to start your teaching career or considering a career change?

The John Donne School Direct Programme offers an exceptional school-based model of teacher training on a salaried route in collaboration with Goldsmith University. It is a dynamic programme of practical learning and academic study, which allows trainees to develop their skills and prepares them for their teaching career.

Trainees work in a classroom alongside an experienced teacher and will gradually build up their teaching responsibility across the year. Trainees are released for approximately 40 days to complete academic study at Goldsmiths College. There is also the opportunity to work at another contrasting school within the partnership for a 6 week placement.

We work in partnership with 33 primary schools. Trainees on our programme are awarded with a PGCE and QTS.

We strongly welcome applications from members of black and minority ethnic communities, as we are keen to ensure the teaching workforce is more representative of London’s diverse population.
