    Developing Reading

    Overview

    This programme is for leaders, teacher and support staff who are looking to develop their approach to teaching reading and maximise progress for pupils in their care.

    Who is the programme for?

    This programme is ideal for senior leaders or Literacy leaders who want to explore a variety of approaches to improving progress in reading for pupils in their schools.

    What is involved?

    The programme is comprised of a series of six good practice sessions led by classroom practitioners, showcasing a variety of approaches to teaching of reading.

    Session details

    The programme is led by David Windle, English SLE and Assistant Headteacher, Charles Dickens Primary School. All sessions run from 8:30-10am.

    Theme: Unlocking vocabulary: supporting pupils to access the text
