This programme is aimed at teaching assistants who are new to the role or would benefit from a refresher.
What is involved?
Led by experienced leaders, the programme focuses on three key areas which will make a significant difference to the way classroom teaching assistants support learning in their classrooms: managing behaviour, enabling independence and communicating effectively with classteachers. The sessions focus on practical activities and ideas that staff can implement quickly in their own settings and include opportunities to observe effective practice across three schools with excellent provision.
The programme is led by Rachel Evans, AssHT, Dulwich Hamlet Junior School and Elly Jones, SLE, Nell Gwynn Nursery School.
All sessions run from 1.30-3.30pm. A maximum of 15 teaching assistants can join this programme.
