Improving Mathematics in Key Stages 2 & 3

    Overview

A practical course designed to support primary and secondary schools to implement the research-based recommendations of the EEF’s Improving Maths in Key Stages 2 and 3 Guidance Report.

Based on the EEF’s guidance and rooted in the latest research, this professional development programme will help you improve maths teaching across Key Stages 2 and 3, pupil progress, and both KS2 and GCSE outcomes.

    What is involved?

Led by experienced school leaders from schools with consistently excellent outcomes in Mathematics, this three day course focuses on three areas of fundamental importance in leading the teaching of Mathematics: pitch and progression, manipulatives and representations and problem solving. Subject-specific guidance goes hand in hand with evidence-informed support on embedding and sustaining whole school improvements.

    Who is the programme for?

This programme is aimed at maths subject leads or KS2/KS3 phase leads.
