    Leading a Mentally Healthy School

    Who is the programme for?

The programme is aimed specifically at Senior Leaders (HT, HoS, DH & AssHT) and will enable them to reflect on current provision and to implement strategic improvements to mental health and well-being for pupils, staff and parents.

    What is involved?

This programme is co-designed and led by Dr John Ivens, headteacher of The Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School and an expert educational psychologist. Programme content has been developed by an expert group of educational psychologists, education consultants and mental health organisations in response to recent research into mental health and well-being in schools.

    The programme includes:

    • Opportunities to gather data about mental health and wellbeing and use this data to plan for whole school changes to practice
    • Case studies of good practice from London schools
    • An opportunity for a personalised coaching visit to your school to support the implementation of your proposed change to policy and practice
