    Maximising the Impact of Pupil Premium


    This three-day course, offered by Charles Dickens Research School will support school leaders to develop, implement and review an evidence- based, high impact Pupil Premium strategy and will include:

    • debunking myths about Pupil Premium spend
    • understanding six guiding principles, underpinned by the evidence about what works for the Pupil Premium
    • developing a plan based on the tiered approach: high quality teaching for all, targeted academic support,wider strategies to address non-academic barriers to achievement
    • implementation strategies
    • evaluation and review

    What is involved

    Each day will combine a thorough exploration of the research evidence, alongside time for schools to engage in practical activities to develop, implement and evaluate their Pupil Premium plans.

    Session details

    Sessions will be led by Jemima Rhys-Evans, Deputy Head (Academic) Charles Dickens Primary School, Specialist Leader of Education and Director of the Charles Dickens Research School.All sessions will run from 9:30am-3pm at Charles Dickens Primary School, Toulmin Street, London SE1 1AF
