London South TSA are currently running a DfE/TSC-funded project supporting schools to use the Workload Reduction Toolkit. The Toolkit was developed in response to the Workload Challenge surveys, research projects and reports from the working parties. London South TSA has been designated by the Teaching Schools Council to support schools in Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and South London to use it effectively and to evaluate its impact. You can read further details in this Workload Reduction Toolkit flyer.
If you would like to apply to be part of the project, please complete this short online form by Friday, 22nd March.
We have a limit to the number of schools with whom we can work, and these must represent the range of provision: primary, secondary and special. We cannot, therefore, guarantee inclusion and encourage schools to apply as soon as possible.
The issue of teacher workload is more timely than ever before. We have seen, through leading a Workload Challenge research project, how addressing teacher workload can be a huge game-changer in terms of:
- Recruitment and retention
- Work/life balance and wellbeing
- Allowing teachers to focus on activities that have the strongest impact on pupil outcomes
Please don’t hesitate to contact our project lead Jemima Rhys-Evans directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about this project.
